Configure Menu (Messages)

"Configure Menu" is the place where you define & manage messages and its actions . Here is how you can configure your Menu . Click on the Configure Menu Option from a Node.

WhatsApp allows a maximum of 3 buttons on a single message/menu. Carousels are currently not supported in WhatsApp. Additionally, the maximum number of items that can be added to a WhatsApp List is 10

Click on the "Create" Button if you want to add a new message. Click on the Edit Icon if you wants to edit an existing message.

Configure Message
  1. Message Text: Define what your users will see. This is your menu text, the message your customers will interact with.

  2. Display Type: Choose how your message appears. Whether it’s a button, a list, or another format, this setting controls the visual representation of your menu.

  3. Menu Order: Specify the order in which the menu items will be displayed. This helps you arrange options logically for user interaction.

  4. User Options: If you’re offering choices, set the order to define how Iris Engage processes customer selections. For instance, if you designate a choice as User Option 1 for a Button, the system processes it as button-1 when selected.

  5. Next Action: Determine what happens next. After a user interacts with the menu, define the subsequent action. This could lead to another menu, a transfer to an agent, a language change, or concluding the conversation. If you want to Jump to another Story, you can select the Next action as "Menu" and choose the specific Story & Node

Click on the "Next" Button to continue with validations.

If you are collecting an information / data from customers (Capture Input from Customer), you can add validation for customer input.

Ex: you are collecting the phone number from your customer. You can set validation type as "Number" and add min & max Length if required. leave the fields blank if its not required.

If you want to set a Variable, select appropriate Variable from the list and click Next.
